Special precautions
The behavior of your trailer harnessed with your car requires to take into account some additional considerations.
The width of your boat can be higher than that of your car imposing certain road axes to you more than others.
The length of the unit (car + trailer) goes from share its weight, to penalize the resumptions of your car and it will be necessary to amend your behavior in function.
The inertia of the unit which increased is to be taken into account during the behavior.
The passage in the intersections will have to be done “broader” and will require not to begin in too narrow places.
The maneuvres of avoidance on the route become much more difficult to negotiate.
The braking distances are increased and requires an anticipation higher than the practice.
The unit (car + trailer) can be forwarded to oscillations on the level of the attachment (known issue of the caravaneers), several possible causes:
- Miss support on the attachment,
- Miss pressure in the tires of the trailer,
- Miss pressure in the tires of the car (+0.2 bars),
- Too high center of gravity of the trailer, to lower to the maximum the boat.
Attachment of the trailer
To open the fastener with ball by reassembling the handle to the top and by tilting it forwards.
To forward the hook of the trailer to the top of the ball of the car (if need be, to give some turns of wheel jockey in order to raise the level of the trailer).
To descend the trailer on the ball from the car by making some turns from wheel jockey. To go up the wheel jockey completely and to lock in height. For the long ways, it is recommended to remove the wheel jockey completely.
The attachment can be equipped with a witness locking.
There are 2 types:
For type 1, the index of the fastener must be opposite the symbol “+” on #52E7F0 content in position attached.
While firing on the handle, the cursor passes then on the position “-” #53E8F1 on #FFFFFF zone indicating that the trailer is detached.
For type 2, it is about a #52E7F0 witness who appears on the fastener with ball when the trailer is correctly locked.
Contrary, it disappears letting see a #53E8F1 button when the fastener with ball is not attached.
To connect the male electric card in the socket of the car.
To test the good performance of fires of the slope.
Uncoupling of the trailer
To withdraw the electric card and to rest the aforementioned on the support provided for this purpose.
To operate the brake of park (braked trailer), to descend the wheel jockey, to fire thoroughly on the handle from attachment; To give some turns of wheel jockey in order to raise the trailer and to release it from the car.
Note: Never not to leave the brake of park tightened during a prolonged stationing.
For the slowed down trailers, a cable of security of braking is to be attached and remove at the time of the attachment-uncoupling of the trailer.
Stowing of the boat
The boat must be perfectly fastened with the trailer.
The cable or the strap of the winch must be rolled up in the aforementioned in a horizontal way or while diving forwards in order to downwards firing the stem from the boat against the shoes from butted of stem.
The stowing of the boat must be carried out with straps or cords by firing the nose and the poop from the boat downwards; on the trailer, rings to pass the ropes and/or straps are provided for this purpose.
Setting with the water of a boat
The phases of setting to water and water exit are delicate maneuvres which must require all your attention. It is disadvised wanting to launch, only.
To withdraw the slope of fires and to collect the electric cable.
To move back the trailer in the block of setting to water by taking care to put to the maximum only the crown of tire of the wheels in water (fig. below) under penalty of cancellation of guarantee! The rim, the hub and the axle must remain with dryness.
During the setting with water, the trailer must be attached to the towing vehicle which must have the tight brakes to him.
To remove the straps of stowing, to tilt the trailer then (if “breakable” model). To accompany the descent by the boat with the winch by paying attention not to let it pack.
In the case of a tilting model, Re-to lock the trailer before going to park it further.

Exit of the water of a boat
To move back the trailer in the block of setting to water by taking care to put only the crown of tire of the wheels in water under penalty of cancellation of guarantee!
During all the increase, the trailer must be attached to the towing vehicle which must have the tight brakes to him.
To disengage the winch and to attach the boat to its ring of stem. To re-enlist the winch and to gently go up the boat on the rollers of the trailer. For the trailers equipped, to use the tilting system “to break” the trailer in two parties, then Re-to lock the unit.
To check the good positioning of the boat on the trailer. To control the good slope of the cable or the strap of the winch.
To fasten the boat with its straps.
To go up, connect and control the good performance of the slope of fires before setting out again.
